JUDY-Well, with us here now are two stars of (BHD), Jason Isaacs and Orlando Bloom, as well as Colonel Tom Matthews, who was actually there and actually witnessed that incident for real, back in 1993... (TO ORLI) Now, you look very different from the last time I saw you, the last time I saw you...
JASON-You were naked in her dressing room.
JUDY-(laughs) Was...

ORLI-Oh, look!
JUDY-Yes, very sweet.
ORLI-(laughs) Oh, thankyou.
RICHARD-That was you as Legolas.
ORLI-Yes, that was me as Legolas in LOTR.
RICHARD-The elf-lord (CORRECTION Richard!! Leggy's an elf PRINCE! Get it right!!)
ORLI-That's right. (Oh, fine...)
JUDY-Now, I thought, initially, because I haven't read the books, that it was 'Legless', everytime that anyone said anything to you...
ORLI-(laughs, shakes head) Oh, no, please! People are gonna be calling me that for the rest of my life now, I'm gonna be sitting in the pub and it'll be like, 'Oh, go on, Legless, get legless!' (laughs)
JUDY-So, are you in the next (LOTR) film?
ORLI-Um, yes, it goes that I'm in the next two actually, which is gonna be great.
JASON-Don't you think (Orli) looks like Caprice with his wig?
JUDY-(laughs) Yes, I know!
ORLI-No, I don't, I do not look like Caprice with my wig!
JASON-Like a Vulcan version of Caprice.
(ORLI LAUGHS)
JUDY-(to Jason) Now, there's a rumour that you're gonna be in the next film as well.
JASON-The next Harry Potter...oh, what am I saying, I'm not allowed to say that! I don't know where that came from!
JUDY-Yes, you'll be playing Draco Malfoy's dad?
JASON-That would be fantastic, wouldn't it?
RICHARD-Before we move on to what we're really here to talk about, have you (Jason) seen both films...Rings and Harry Potter?
JASON-I have, yeah.
RICHARD-Which would you go for, which one?
JASON-(laughs) Well, seeing as Harry Potter is what may well be paying my bills and putting food in my baby daughter's mouth, then I'll go for that!
ORLI-But you're sitting next to me, Jason!
JASON-I know...isn't (Orli) fantastic with his bow? Have you seen him with his bow? (Does bow and arrow motions) You know, he does all that, there's no special effects or anything!
ORLI-That's 2 months of training, that was.
JASON-But, y'know, enough about BHD tonight...
JUDY-(laughs) Yes!
RICHARD-Yes, I went to see it with my son and his friends, and it is an amazing film. And because most of us who followed what actually happened then, ten years ago, that understand the events, it seems to be a faithful rendition of what went wrong, and what was retrieved.
JASON-Yes, and it's amazing that Hollywood spent a hundred million dollars on what is essentially a documentary, and the great difference between (BHD) and any other war film is that this story is not just devised for our emotional satisfaction, it's real, in fact all of those who saw it at the Pentagon last week said it was very faithfully recreated, and it's very harrowing, but it's great.
RICHARD-It's on a par with 'Saving Private Ryan', it's got the same absolute realism, I think.
ORLI-It's, you know, it's a brave film, Ridley took it on, nothing was happening before, because of September 11th, that was all in the can, but it's uncompromising and the use of the camera and just the cinematography, it's just amazing, it kind of is rolled in with this beautiful cinematography and the music, and the sort of real life events...
RICHARD-It's about real deaths.
ORLI-Yeah, exactly.
JUDY-Yes, it's intriguing that they cast English actors...so many of you!
JASON-Well, once you're in that kind of hell, and it just goes on, you know, it's the biggest firefight since Vietnam. There's not that much talking...accents weren't that much of a problem.
RICHARD-Yes but English actors tend not to do American accents too well, though I can honestly say that I forgot you were English, and I'm not just saying that because it's you sitting there, in some parts I was just going, 'Is that really you, and is that really you?
ORLI/JASON-Thankyou!
RICHARD-Yes, because you were just so authentically American.

(JASON GOES ON TO ELABORATE ON HOW THE 26 OR 27 ACTUAL SOMALIA 1993 VETERANS ARE STILL ALIVE, AND HOW THE 'BHD' ACTORS SO CLOSELY INTERACTED WITH THEM FOR THE FILM THAT THEY THEMSELVES FELT MILITARY. RICHARD TALKS TO COLONEL TOM MATTHEWS ABOUT HIS EXPERIENCES IN THE REAL LIFE 'BHD' SITUATION)

JASON-...and all of the Rangers who survived told us, when something happened, it was all about, y'know, 'Get me to the crash site, get me there right now.' And of course, we normal...mortals would think, 'Get me out of here!' And the reason the conflict went on all night was that they refused to leave even the dead bodies behind. So they achieved this mission, the people who fought there.
ORLI-They were heroes, they were all undoubtedly heroes, there were some decisions that were made further up the chain that didn't help, but it was called 'Ranger orientation', y'know, you learned that these guys are the bravest men in the world.
JASON-The day we left they slipped a note under our door, anonymously written, and it just said, 'Please show the world thar no man who dies for his brother dies in vain'. And it was signed by the dead Rangers.
