Lately, however, it's not the only love in her life. When Kate arrived at the Teen Vogue cover shoot fresh from a four week Caribbean vacation with "a very good friend" she seemed perfectly elated. And while she never said his name, she seemed unable to resist the chance to work her "friend" actor Orlando Bloom into the conversation. After asking hair stylist, Orlando Pita where he was from, she paused only a beat before oh-so-casually inquiring whether his first name was common in Cuba. "It's a pretty rare name, isn't it?" she asked coyly.

Later while her cell rings, her voice immediately jumps at least an octave, (with a few decibels) with excitement. But when asked directly about her relationship with the Lord of The Rings star, she's cagey. "Its an interesting thing," she says carefully, "to have to work to keep your private life private. It's very new to me. For anybody young having a relationship can be hard, so I've decided to just sort of keep it to myself."
